Job Description
Combat Operations Subject Matter Expert-13000370
In anticipation of future programs, ASRC Communications, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking Combat Operations Subject Matter Experts to augment the JIEDDO Operations Staff to advance counter-Improvised Explosive Device (IED) policies; tactics, techniques, and practices (TTPs); and their knowledge base.
Key Role:
Use your demonstrated subject matter expertise to assist in deployment, coordination and command execution of assigned and attached units providing counter IED and direct training support advice to a combatant commander and his forces.
Develop and provide elements in identifying and addressing C-IED capability gaps. Provide analytical tools, software development, and systems engineering support to ensure interoperability and integration of emerging C-IED technologies and tactics, techniques and procedures. Interface with Combatant Commands, joint organizations, and OGAs on actions related to Joint IED Defeat initiatives. Analyze the intelligence; operational TTPs; training and materiel solution inter-relationships; and articulate an overarching strategy to combat asymmetric threats and IEDs. Observe, collect, develop, validate, and disseminate emerging IED Defeat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Provide investigative (law enforcement) advice to unit commanders and provide support for the execution of JIEDDO strategic actions supporting the integration of multiple Joint IED Defeat solutions throughout DoD.
Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI or above
Solid understanding of Joint and Combined Counter-IED doctrine, policies and regulations, and TTPs and working knowledge of defeat solutions, trend analysis, and pattern analysis.
Working knowledge of Analyst Notebook and Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield.
Knowledge of Brigade and senior tactical formations and Counter-IED capability shortfalls.
Familiarity with foreign disclosure practices.
Proficient in Software application common to U.S. Government Networks
Bachelor’s degree required; Associates degree will be accepted for retired military service members with five years front-line IED experience.
5+ years of related experience including experience in tactical formations – Brigade and up.
Multiple combat, combat support and combat service support disciplines may be required or equivalent academic or defense industry functional areas.
Experience in progressive billets with increased responsibility in one or more uniformed service, academic, or defense industry functional areas.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment while deployed:
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable and would include long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
