Job Description
Responsible for policy and oversight of the physical and personal security program, and implementation of the executive security program for the US organization.
1. Develop and maintain policies related to the security of people, facilities, executives and board members for ING U.S.2. Periodically assess physical, personal and executive security risks of key locations, including data centers and executive offices, and advise management on improvements.
3. Be actively involved in handling immediate security threats across the enterprise.
4. Lead the executive security efforts, support and proactively advise executives on security matters.
5. Develop, roll out and support appropriate security training across the enterprise.
6. Report and update management on the state of security and key security risks across the enterprise.
7. Maintain and leverage contacts with local law enforcement, e.g. NYPD, FBI, etc.
8. Support Business Continuity and Crisis Management efforts as they relate to physical, personal and executive security, with particular focus on NYC and executive security in a crisis.
9. Track and analyze security events and provide recommendations to facility and business management
10. Act as security subject matter expert and advise on all security matters across ING U.S.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
15+ years experience in handling security for corporate locations and/or company executives
5+ years in security leadership role
Professional designations, e.g. CPP, CSP, a plus
Experience with federal agency, FBI, Secret Service, etc.
