MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES State the most important activities and accountabilities of this position. Describe how these activities and accountabilities can influence the achievement of company or business goals. (Attach additional sheets if needed):
1. Oversees the daily operation of the contract security team and gives functional direction as needed to ensure sound execution of the site security contract and plan. Develops general and specific post orders and ensures implementation.
2. Performs audits and inspections of the physical security of company owned or leased facilities and makes appropriate recommendations to improve the protection of assets.
3. Develops, implements and manages a security program that protects the site from fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, workplace violence, civil disturbance as well as other illegal or undesired activities warranted by site leadership.
4. Manages the site CCTV, fire alarm, fire suppression and access control systems; identifies issues and executes plans to ensure compliance and/or upgrades as needed.
5. Conducts investigations and fact finding reviews where breaches occur within the security program and recommends corrective action plans to ensure mitigation activities are enacted and results achieved. Common dangers to the site include, but are not limited to; unauthorized entry, activists/protests, product tampering, theft, IM abuse, diversion, employee fraud andPDMA.
6. Develops and delivers security based presentations utilizing various tools to train others, communicate information and leverage better business decisions.
7. Assist with executive protection, emergency/crisis management planning, code of conduct inquires, internal investigations, workplace violence issues and employee performance issues. Provides quality consultation specific to security and ensures recommendations are delivered to various internal business customers.
8. Stays current in regard to industrial security practices, trends and technologies and maintains the site security program to the level of expectation desired by the corporation and site leadership.
9. Develops relationships and serves as the site liaison to public safety agencies including, but not limited to; law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical responders, as well as local and state emergency management and homeland security.
Qualifications

Where skills can be obtained through formal training / education and experience, list the type and amount of education and experience that would typically prepare an individual for this position:
1. Bachelor degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security or loss prevention. Other degree types will be considered if security management capability is demonstrated. 2. 5 - 10 years experience working in a relevant security related role where security management and program development are primary focus. Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is a plus. 3. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical materials, procedures, or governmental guidelines 4. Strong technical writing capability. The incumbent can write reports, business correspondence and procedures. 5. Ability to understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality. 6. Ability to analyze and interpret data. 7. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to diverse audiences at multiple levels within the company using written, oral and multimedia modalities. 8. Experience with program/product/process implementation. 9. Working knowledge of common business software and communication applications like Microsoft Office. 10. Self motivated and begin projects and work tasks without supervision or direction.
