Description
ERM is seeking a Maritime & Homeland Security Compliance Consultant to join our growing consulting team in Baton Rouge, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong maritime compliance and security background as well as project management skills.

This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging environmental and security projects for large industrial and global clients throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Responsibilites:
Assist oil & gas clients comply U.S. Coast Guard regulations and Department of Homeland Security regulations.
Conduct security vulnerability assessments.
Prepare security contingency plans.
Train client personnel through security seminars.
Plan and facilitate security drills and exercises.
Manage multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads.
Communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in homeland security studies or 4 years of law enforcement/military experience.
6 to 8 years of maritime compliance and security experience, including in military or law enforcement.
Familiarity with federal and state maritime, US Coast Guard, and homeland security regulations.
Off-shore experience with an oil & gas background a plus.
Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel (approximately 30 percent), and work independently with minimal supervision.
