Senior Personnel Security Specialist

Job Description
With general supervision, will perform functions of day-to-day security operations to sensitive SRI projects; implement and monitor security procedures including access control, and maintenance, and classified material control; process access requests, administer indoctrination’s and debriefings, maintain access rosters; assist
with compliance reviews and inquires, write reports, interface with project leaders, and other SRI personnel regarding security matters. Must be available for occasional after hours assistance. Limited travel (within the U.S.) will be required.The successful candidate must possess a minimum of one year experience in an industrial security environment, have an awareness and some experience with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), NISPOM Supplement, and the DCID/JAFAN/ICD security environment.

The candidate must have familiarity with the Windows Operating System, and MS Office programs to include Word, Power Point and Excel. The candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Familiarity with SIMS is preferred.

This position requires an Associate’s degree and one year experience or equivalent preferred. Combination of related industrial security experience will be considered. May require successful completion of a government administered polygraph test. Lifting (max 40 lbs) occasionally required, and must be able to climb a six foot ladder. Also required is a valid CA drivers license.

A drug screen will be required as part of the hiring process.

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and pass DCID/JAFAN 6/4 eligibility.
