Please note this is a 12 Month FTCThe Divisional Security Manager is an integral member of the UK & Europe Divisional Security Team and will be the contact point for contracts within the UK & Europe Division
regarding Security and will liaise and support the business units in managing the divisions risk profile.
The successful candidate will steer Divisional compliance to the Serco Group standard in Security and help contracts to understand and meet customer regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for developing good practices that ensure a strong control environment and will challenge the way of doing things and continuously strive for improvement.
You will be building strong relationships with the Security Community, Divisional Management Team, internal and external stakeholders and colleagues in the wider Divisional and Safety, Risk and Compliance teams. The individual will be responsible for supporting the division`s security risk based audit plan and ensuring this is resourced and monitored
Essential skills The successful candidate will:* Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to expand professional knowledge into other technical areas as well as showing enthusiasm for security and evidence of self motivation and drive to make a difference
* Have excellent communication skills – both verbal & Written
* Have effectively managed workload and have the proven ability to prioritise issues according to risk
* Have a good understanding of HMG Security policy framework and other relevant security legislation
* Be prepared to make decisions and be held accountable for those decisions
* Be familiar with the adoption of security management policies, standards, processes and procedures
* Have an awareness and understanding of physical, procedural and personnel aspects of security as well as information security.
* Have recognised compliance/auditing skills or be working towards such.
* When appropriate, a competent understanding (or be prepared to gain such understanding) of relevant local controls where applicable. These may include corporate, nuclear, defence, rail, customdial, aviation and, marine specific customer or regulatory controls.
* Understanding of current legal and regulatory requirements relating to information security and privacy including, Data Protection Act, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 etc.
* Demonstrate a thorough and current understanding of developments in information the security industry, and is able to assimilate and interpret advice from specialists, technical and otherwise.
* Has relevant recognised qualification(s) and experience relating to Security
