This requirement is for a 89D EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist) Small Group Instructor, to instruct skill level 30 & 40 Non-Commissioned Officers attending the Advanced Leader Course (ALC) at the Army Logistics University, Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, at Fort Lee VA, this work will be
performed both at Fort Lee and Fort AP Hill, VA (EOD site). Some instruction may be conducted at other government and civilian facilities located within 50 miles of Fort Lee. May require teaching students in both a classroom enironment as well as a field setting. Responsible for maintaining program of instruction in accordance with established TRADOC procedures. Support Mobile Training Team requirement as required. Perform other duties as required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilites :
Must be able to perform duties at Fort Lee & Fort A.P. Hill, VA on governemnt sites. Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental and foreign locations. Must be able to stand, sit and walk for prolonged period of time. Must be able to lift 60 -70 pounds in a single lift and if required wear specialized equipment for this MOS. Able to operate a personal computer and related equipment.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years relevant military logistics experience in the following US Army Military occupational specialties: 89D. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years specific experience in teaching, development or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals for vocational or military training programs. 18 months of specialized experience facilitating experiential learning in small group setting. Must have graduated from ALC, and held a Team Lead position as a 89D. Preferred; graduates of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Small Group Instructor Training Course (SGITC) and Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC). Instructors must be proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) computer programs to ensure ability to access all required training tools. Candidate must possess outstanding communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal. Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to access classified information.
