Small Arms Repairman

Employer: Apogee Solutions, Inc.
Location:  Fort Lee, Virginia, United States
Duties: Contractor will be responsible for the organization maintenance and accountability of 300 plus M16A2 and other weapon systems as a company Small Arms Repairman II. Required to ensure monthly inventories are being conducted to military standards. Conduct 10 and 20 level maintenance while insuring
100% accountability and readiness for the company assigned. Contractor will be required to issue and receive weapons on a daily basis and must be able to work weekend and different shifts to include early morning, afternoon, and evening as required. Make simple repairs to standard Army small arms weapons during the training exercise/qualification. Maintain Armors tool kit and required prescribed load list. Requisition necessary spares required for repairs. Perform other duties as assigned.
Civilian Education: Minimum of a high school diploma. Must possess a 12th grade reading and comprehensive level.

Military Education: Minimum of a former E5 with a minimum of five (5) years military experience.
Military Operational Experience: Should possess former MOS 45B and be competent in Small Arms Repair duties. Must have familiarization with US Army Small Arms Repair Parts System (SARPS) procedures.
Special Requirements: Must pass the VA State Police Background check.
Must be able to perform duties at Fort Lee, AP Hill, Fort Pickett and other military installations. Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must have no physical limitations or cold or hot weather injuries that prevent duty or work outside in all weather conditions to include running, crawling, jumping, lifting, throwing, and climbing into large vehicles.
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for at least a secret clearance.
