Act as weapons, high threat driving and survival/evasion/resistance/escape (SERE) instructor at the USAF Air Advisor Academy. Design, implement, and manage training programs to include all supportive training material. Instruct students in a classroom and on live-fire weapons and driving ranges.
Successful candidate will be able to:
– Work to satisfy contract requirements.
– Resolve problems, define objectives and priorities, and coordinate and assign projects.
– Train new personnel to ensure program competency and customer satisfaction.
– Ensure compliance to all applicable Cubic procedures and policies.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilites:
Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills are required to include U.S. Military, interagency, and international partner audience. Position requires close customer contact and the ability to work independently and creatively. Successful candidate must exhibit ability to effectively communicate with clients, and colleagues, and senior managers. Must be able to travel unaccompanied. Must be able to move and operate personal computer, related equipment, and must be proficient with MS office. Must be proactive in identifying and solving problems.
Minimum Job Requirement :
Shall have attended a formal Firearms Instructor Training Program. Must be capable of bearing arms in accordance with AFI 31-207. Position requires access to firearms or ammunition and those having qualifying conviction under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 are not eligible. Must be task certified on firing line official duties by a Combat Arms NCOIC and qualified on the weapon and course of fire before performing firing line official duties. Must have experience serving as a senior firearms instructor. Must be a US citizen and be proficient in English with good communication skills. High threat driving experience preferred. Must be a graduate of Service Level C Code of Conduct (CoC)/Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE) School and be familiar with Air Force Personal Recovery policies and procedures. Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
