Essential Responsibilities: 



  • • Proactively designs, develops and maintains security processes and programs to protect the organization and minimize security threats. Research federal, state and local regulations to define existing and upcoming legal obligations and requirements of company programs and policies.

    • Create, document, and maintain security and safety procedures that comply with legal, corporate policies and guidelines, ensuring appropriate personnel are equipped to respond effectively to threats.

    • Promptly responds to threats, gathers intelligence, conducts investigations and initiates follow up on events that put the organization at risk. Follow up with law enforcement and appropriate PRA personnel as needed.

    • Evaluate security equipment and service needs and make recommendations to senior management on improvements. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in all areas of security.

    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility.

    • Confronts trespassers or potential threats and takes appropriate action following company policy, procedures and governing laws.

    • Supervises 2-3 security/facilities staff

    Professional Experience/Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice is preferred.

    • Experience with high tech security systems; Badge access systems, Cameras, DVR for security.

    • Basic knowledge of criminal codes, safety and security.

    • Knowledge in report writing.

    • Previous law enforcement experience beneficial, but not mandatory.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
