Education Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
• Completion of Drill Sergeant School and/or Small Group Instructor Training Course in Active Duty or Reserve Component IAW the FY07: Structure Manning Decision Review (SMDR) General Officer Steering Committee
(GOSC).
Experience Required
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of US small arms weapons systems. Demonstrated knowledge of Army doctrine and training principles as outlined in FMs 3.0., 7.0, 22-100, and 5-19.
• Proficient in Warrior Leader Skills Levels 1-3 IAW Soldier Training Publication (STP) 21-1-Soldiers Manual of Common Tasks (SMCT) and STP 21-24-SMCT.
• Be proficient with the associated blocks of instruction for the individual weapons qualification which includes the M9 Pistol (FM 3-23.35 COMBAT TRAINING WITH PISTOLS, M9 AND M11), M16/M4 Rifle (FM 3-22.9 RIFLE MARKSMANSHIP M16-/M4-SERIES WEAPONS), M249 Machine Gun and M240B Machine Gun (FM 3-22.68 Crew-Served Machine Guns 5.56-mm and 7.62-mm), M2 Machine Gun (50 Cal) (FM 3-22.65 BROWNING MACHINE GUN, CALIBER .50 HB, M2. The standards for qualification requirements shall be followed as outlined in Program of Instruction (POI).
• Familiar with and certify proficiency in all Urban Ops/Convoy Ops and Stress and Reflexive Fire tasks IAW the current NIACT POI as well as a certified Range Safety Officer (RSO).
• Familiar with and certify proficiency in all first aid tasks and certified in Tactical Casualty Combat Care (TCCC), IAW the current NIACT POI.
• Must be able to articulate, speak, write, and communicate effectively in English • Be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard
• Possess a civilian driver’s license • Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Have a working knowledge of Army and Navy rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc. and Navy equivalents).
• Have a working knowledge of mobilization/demobilization operations IAW FORSCOM Regulation 500-3-1 thru 500-3-5.
• Proficient with entering company training schedules and other information into DTMS. Some Instructors will require proficiency in the EST 2000. EST Operator personnel shall possess an advanced working knowledge of the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) 2000 to include the following scenarios: Basic Rifle Marksmanship Training, Remedial Marksmanship Training, Individual and Unit Sustainment Training, Tactical Collective Training and Shoot/No Shoot, Low Light and Rules of Engagement.
Description Serve as an Instructor Trainer in support of Task Force Marshall. Train USAR and United States Navy Individual Augmentees (NIACT) Background: Task Force Marshall (TFM) is comprised of two (2) company sized Drill Sergeant Units and a battalion headquarters/staff from the 2nd BDE, 98th Training Division (IET) and is mobilized annually to train United States Navy Individual Augmentees, with a Be Prepared To (BPT) mission that includes United States Army Reserve (USAR) Individual Warriors. The purpose of this annual unit rotation concept is to ensure that modularity of USAR forces is maintained throughout the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) process directed by Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA). The projected training load for a twelve (12) month period is 1600 Sailors. Load is spread over 16 training cycles of 21 days. Generally, 15 days are actual training days. Knowledge of the mobilization/demobilization of IRR and/or USAR Personnel process. Ability to keep accurate records for NIACT Students and TFM Cadre/Staff Complies with documented policies and procedures to perform work as applicable. Identifies reports and/or resolves process and product non-conformities according to established procedures. Supports or participates in local or company-wide improvement efforts as required. – Perform additional duties as required. – Performs other duties as assigned. Employee may be required to work overtime. PHYSICAL DEMANDS – In many instances mission requirements will require Contractor personnel to work extended hours (sometimes from 0700 – 2100 hours), shift hours, nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to stand for long periods of time as duty may require stooping, bending, kneeling and other muscular stretching requirements. Be able to lift 60 pounds over their shoulders repeatedly.
