Overall Responsibility:
The Director for Policy Projects (Emerging Threats) is responsible for developing and managing national security-related projects, normally in partnership with one or more federal agencies and/or congressional committees. This portfolio focuses upon emerging threats such as illicit networks; emerging payment methods;
threat finance; domestic, and economic security. The position requires building relationships, building teams and producing results. The incumbent takes the lead on some projects and supports staff colleagues on others. Engaging the organization’s members in each effort is a primary part of the incumbent’s responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- Four to seven years professional experience in the public or private sector, project management experience a plus
- Advanced communication skills (oral and written)
- Comfortable working with high level officials and business executives
- Experience in effectively preparing for and running (and letting others run where appropriate) working meetings
- Strong interest in national security, homeland security, and U.S. government organizations and processes
- A working knowledge of illicit network threats and challenges – less from a technical perspective; more from a public policy point of view
- Master’s degree in relevant field or Juris Doctor
- Flexibility to travel (travel not extensive; only periodic)
