Job Description:
Summary: The Security Specialist II will provide personnel security support services to the client that include, but are not limited to, interpreting existing regulations, assisting support offices in processing requests for investigation and, when appropriate, obtaining preclearance for interim hiring or contractor activity. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects
of suitability processing as well as intelligence community security processing in accordance with the all applicable directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines to adequately discharge the duties and responsibilities. Research technological advancements to ensure that security solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide personnel security support including: makes recommendations for suitability of individuals for entry and retention in sensitive and non-sensitive positions and make security clearance recommendations for access to information, resources, materials and work sites
- Provides recommendations and support in reviewing an evaluating reports of investigations, personnel files and other records and recommendations whether to grant, deny, revoke, suspend or restrict security clearances consistent with national security and suitability issues
- Perform security services in Personnel, apply incident management problem solving, task management and produce finished documentation; e.g. reports, special studies, policy and procedure development and assessments
- Assist with analytical research and technical support to projects, produce solutions and documentation
- Develop and monitor project tasks and schedules
- Provide analytical research and technical support to projects, producing solutions and documentation
- Makes recommendations as to the suitability of all applicants, interns, contractors and sub-contractors for position sensitivity, access to facilities or information and other operation requirements
- Apply incident management problem solving, task management and producing finished documentation; e.g., reports, special studies, policy and procedure development, , training programs and assessments
- Manage a substantial caseload of pre-clearance and investigative requests
- Train and develop the capabilities of more junior Security Specialists
- Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in Personnel Security disciplines, and Investigation programs
- Must have at least three (3) years general experience and two (2) years specialized experience in the aforementioned areas of Personnel Security Investigation programs.
