Deputy Program Manager (DPM) Police Instructor

Job Description
Contracted Police Instructors will provide law enforcement instruction and delivery of training courses to create host nation capacity to professionalize and develop Government of Mexico (GOM) federal, state, and local police.
Responsibilities: The DPM shall be responsible for project assessment, implementation, and evaluation.

  • The DPM shall receive guidance from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Contracting Office Representative (INL COR) and program officer at the U.S. Embassy Mexico.
  • The DPM shall relay and provide guidance to the trainers.
  • The DPM shall provide deliverables in accordance with the task order requirements.
  • The DPM will monitor all training and request feedback to ensure that the students received proper instruction.
  • The DPM shall summarize and assess how the training provided will enhance student performance.
  • The DPM shall maintain open, timely, and effective communications with the CO/COR and the INL Mexico City program officer.
  • The DPM shall proactively address potential problems and provide flexible, workable solutions.
Qualifications: 
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to possess/maintain a Secret Security Clearance issued by Defense Security Service      (DSS).
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in areas of program management.
  • Ten (10) years of experience as a law enforcement officer.
  • Three of the ten (10) years of police experience as an instructor.
Location: Mexico City, Mexico and other locations in Mexico
Work Environment: Classroom and Training Setting Environment
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri/8 hours a day. Normal working hours are 08:00AM – 5:00PM.
Salary and Benefits: As stated during the interview/hiring process.
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a secret security clearance.
Travel: All travel shall be in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and Department of State Standard Regulations (DSSR). Provided travel/transport to Mexico from the U.S. personnel, as well as return travel to the U.S. when a training sessions are completed.
