Day to Day Responsibilities
- Oversee
implementation of approved Global Security programs for North America
business and manufacturing operations, and confirm the effectiveness for
these initiatives and strategies. These initiatives include but are not
limited to facilities protection, investigations, supply chain
security, brand protection/anti-counterfeit, workplace security, travel
security, personal security and coordinating executive and event
protection.
- Directs the development, implementation, and
management, of a comprehensive headquarters security program to include
direct oversight of security guard operations, access control
procedures, alarm and CCTV systems, ID systems for
employees/vendors/visitors, headquarters emergency response planning,
and executive protection.
- Maintain consistent communications and flow of information with all security stakeholders in his/her area of responsibility.
- Develop strategies to counter risks and gain buy-in and support from appropriate management.
- Identify,
develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices, and
policies throughout the area of his/her responsibility to reduce risks,
respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of
assets, physical, personal and reputation risk.
- Incorporate
approved security standards and guidelines into projects to include
construction, renovation and production related projects.
- Assist
management in identifying, assessing and addressing all potential loss
exposures due to theft, vandalism, sabotage, or other identified
unauthorized or illegal activities.
- Provides direct support,
for investigations and surveys, for all North America facilities. This
also includes electronic-countermeasures, meeting security, and special
projects.
- Act as an investigative liaison and as a criminal
investigation subject matter expert to Ethics and Compliance and Brand
Protection. Provide expert advice and leadership on cases of mutual
interest.
- Ensure conformity of current and planned security operations with approved security standards.
- Provide
technical support to the North America management teams and relevant
company departments for the selection of security service providers and
execution of security related contracts; and in some cases manage those
contracts directly.
- Coordinate the activities of the Corporate
Crisis Action Teams, to include training, updating of materials, and
interactions with the Corporate Crisis Management Team during an actual
crisis in the absence of the Director or Worldwide Director for Global
Security.
- Incorporate lessons learned from previous crises into security and evacuation plans.
- Build
relationships with regional peers and leaders across the consumer
products industry. Benchmark with partners and peers in the industry and
share best practices.
- Liaise with the supply chain and
logistics personnel on domestic C-TPAT and cargo security issues, to
include coordinating ongoing awareness training and facility security
reviews.
- Maintain strong communication and support links with
New York City Emergency Services, Federal Law Enforcement, and local law
enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory agencies across the
U.S.
