Job Description:
Potential employee must be able and willing to perform after-hours and weekend security checks of a Federal Government Facility that is located on a Federal Government Installation. Additionally, the employee must be able to identify conditions that would suggest the conditions identifying a security breach has occurred while conducting a prescribed security check, and is able to notify the appropriate authorities as per a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). A US Security Clearance is mandatory for the position, but the ability to obtain an interim clearance is acceptable.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Employee must be able to perform 4-hour security checks as per an SOP
Report any discrepancies to the appropriate authorities
Provide a weekly report to the Program Manager of any found discrepancies
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee will perform security checks on a of a government facility to include the interior, the exterior and the perimeter of the facility. The employee will most likely NOT have an office due to the nature and hours of the position. The employee must be able to operate a motor vehicle, sit, stand and walk on both level and un-level surfaces.
Experience and Skills:
JOB SKILLS:Required –
Ability to maintain sensitive and classified information as required by government standards
Ability to adhere to workplace rules
Must possess a clearance or have the ability to obtain an interim prior to employment
Ability to interact with peers and supervisors
Must possess the ability to accomplish tasks with little or no supervision
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience as a Security Manager or with performing Security Checks is preferred
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
