Position Summary:
The Sr. Director of Security is responsible for leading ConAgra Foods effort to achieve “World Class” security performance across the enterprise. This position provides global leadership to ensure compliance with all applicable security regulations, while focusing on the implementation and improvement of systems designed to minimize risk associated with security incidents including, but not limited to workplace violence; theft and pilferage; product tampering; and reputational threats.

INTERNAL: This position will interact with the VP Safety, Health, Environment; Human Resources; Legal; Supply Chain; Information Technology; Research, Quality and Innovation; Finance; Internal Audit; Procurement.
EXTERNAL: The position will be required to represent ConAgra Foods in dealings with various state and federal government agencies. The position will also serve as the ConAgra Foods representative to various trade organizations and professional societies.
Scope, as applicable:
This position interacts with all levels of internal management and with external business partners to develop best practice solutions for workforce security.

- Responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of ConAgra Foods security policies and strategies.
- Provide training, guidance, support and direction to Senior Leadership in all areas related to effective security management processes.
- Oversee Executive protection for CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Collaborates with senior leadership and other business units to engage the workforce in reducing security vulnerabilities and improving the resiliency of ConAgra Foods.
- Act as a resource to platform and plant security management encompassing compliance, investigations and best practices.
- Develop and oversee compliance of security regulatory programs such as Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and other regulatory programs.
- Oversee the ConAgra Foods Workplace Violence Program (WPV).
- Participate in the development of long-range plans for the company security function.
- Oversee security investigation process and issue periodic statistical reports on security incidents.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree; MS Preferred; professional certification in security (for example Certified Protection Professional) is desirable.
- Fifteen years of progressive security, law enforcement and/or safety experience, including at least five (5) years of corporate level experience of a company with multiple locations.
- Developing and implementing corporate level security and/or safety programs.
- Advanced knowledge of security regulations including Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).
- Experience in performing detailed analysis of security and/or safety and development of corrective actions at corporate levels.
- Developing, preparing and presenting security presentations to senior management.
- In-plant experience in the management of security programs.
- Strong facilitation and collaboration skills including, managing and/or directing teams, committees, team building, objective setting, problem resolution, and tracking results.

- Must have the ability to travel extensively (50%+ may be expected) including to International and Domestic locations.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate office work with minimal lifting restrictions.
- Visits to ConAgra Foods manufacturing facilities that will include walking, light climbing, light lifting, and short periods in hot and cold temperature extremes
