Overview:
The Madison Square Garden Company is comprised of three business
segments: MSG Sports, MSG Media and MSG Entertainment and is built on a
foundation of iconic venues and compelling content that the company
creates, produces, presents and/or distributes through its programming
networks and other media assets. MSG Sports owns and operates the
following sports franchises: the New York Knicks (NBA), the New York
Rangers (NHL), the New York Liberty
(WNBA), the Westchester Knicks (NBADL) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL). MSG Sports also features the presentation of a wide variety of live sporting events including professional boxing, college basketball, bull riding and tennis. MSG Media is a leader in production and content development for multiple distribution platforms, including content originating from the Company’s venues. MSG Media’s television networks consist of regional sports networks, MSG Network and MSG+, collectively referred to as MSG Networks. MSG Entertainment is one of the country’s leaders in live entertainment. MSG Entertainment creates, produces and/or presents a variety of live productions, including the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and the New York Spring Spectacular, both featuring the Rockettes. MSG Entertainment also presents or hosts other live entertainment events such as concerts, family shows and special events in the Company’s diverse collection of venues. These venues consist of Madison Square Garden, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, the Forum in Inglewood, CA, The Chicago Theatre, and the Wang Theatre in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Vice President, Security is responsible for development
and oversight of a comprehensive security plan for all MSG Facilities.
The scope of this role reaches across all venues and acts as the senior
most individual responsible for articulating and leading high level
security needs. Responsible for developing and instituting plans that
will evaluate, track and provide for quick response to external security
threats. Assure that MSG operations are consistent with industry best
practice and that physical security strategy is aligned with the
business needs of MSG. Individual will interact with government agencies
(Homeland Security, FBI, varying task forces) on security threats and
will hold the lead position on security actions taken in all venues.
Additionally this individual will oversee executive protection as
required. The position will work very closely with MSG staff,
particularly the individuals responsible for security within each
individual venue, to ensure effective controls are in place to maintain
proper compliance with any policies and standards. The individual will
evaluate and provide recommendations to close security gaps and
vulnerabilities. The Senior Vice President will create metrics to
measure the effectiveness of the security program and implement a system
to to track and report physical security issues.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have extensive related security experience
with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public service or private
sector corporate security organization along with experience in large
public assembly industry/events. Must be an intelligent, articulate and
persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior
management team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts
to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff. Must have strong
working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community.
Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies is
essential. Experience providing counsel to senior leadership and a track
record of delivering uncomfortable messages and working in stressful
situations while maintaining tact, diplomacy and strength of character.
Incisive, analytical think with the ability to grasp complex material
quickly and to challenge assumptions. Active memberships in security
organizations, nationally and internationally. Certified in one or more
Security disciplines desired. Must have the ability to work in a
team-oriented, collaborative environment.How to Apply
